Uma pequena narrativa da minha vida em Guernsey!

"Estes eram os bons tempos! Eu tinha 24 anos e a Cindy 23. 1968 foi o ano em que fui à Madeira casar. Em maio de 1966, saí da Madeira em direção à ilha de Guernsey; passaram-se exatamente 60 anos desde que me estabeleci nesta ilha."

"Durante este período, trabalhei para três empresas e, desde então, fundei três: a primeira em 1982 a Lusobar Limited, gerindo o Swan Inn; depois, o Wellington Arms; e, em 1984, fundei a Lusostar Limited, que oferecia serviços de viagens e documentação, bem como representação bancária portuguesa.

Em 1987, fundei a Swan Holdings Limited, que ainda se encontra ativa. Em 2006, alugámos o edifício do nosso conhecido pub em St. Peter Port e, desde então, estamos reformados.

"Those were the good old days! I was 24 and Cindy was 23. 1968 was the year I went back to Madeira to get married. In May 1966, I left Madeira for the island of Guernsey; it has now been exactly 60 years since I first settled on this island.

During this period, I worked for three companies and have since founded three of my own: the first in 1982 Lusobar Limited, managing the Swan Inn; then the Wellington Arms; and in 1984, I founded Lusostar Limited, which offered travel and documentation services, as well as Portuguese banking representation.

In 1987, I founded Swan Holdings Limited, which remains active to this day. In 2006, we leased out the building of our well-known pub in St. Peter Port, and we have been retired ever since.
