Fond Memories of The Swan Inn – Farewell Events, May 2006

25th May 2006 – Joe & Cindy’s Farewell Party

We hosted a farewell evening at The Swan Inn with a buffet and open bar for the Guernsey Police officers. It was a wonderful night, and I was truly touched to receive gifts from members of the Guernsey Police Association who regularly supported our pub.

Besides running the bar, we also served lunch from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with daily specials that became very popular among police officers, local office staff, lawyers, civil servants, tourists, hotel staff, and locals. On Fridays, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, we carried on our tradition of offering complimentary sausage rolls, sandwiches, and more for our guests.

The kitchen was run by my wife, Cindy, whose cooking was loved by so many.

To everyone who frequented it over the years – thank you for your friendship, your laughter, and your support.

25 de Maio de 2006 – Festa de Despedida de Joe & Cindy

Organizámos uma festa de despedida no The Swan Inn com buffet e bar aberto para os agentes da Polícia de Guernsey. Foi uma noite maravilhosa, e fiquei muito emocionado ao receber presentes dos membros da Associação da Polícia de Guernsey que frequentavam regularmente o nosso pub.

Além do bar, também servíamos almoços das 12h00 às 14h00, com pratos do dia muito populares entre os polícias, funcionários públicos, advogados, turistas, empregados de hotel e habitantes locais. Às sextas-feiras, das 17h00 às 18h00, mantínhamos a tradição de oferecer rolinhos de salsicha, sandes e outros petiscos aos nossos clientes habituais.

A cozinha era gerida pela minha esposa, Cindy, cuja comida era adorada por todos

26th May 2006 – Farewell to Our Regulars

The following evening, we hosted another buffet and open bar for our other regulars. Once again, it was a great success, full of laughter, friendship, and wonderful memories. 

The Swan Pool Team kindly gifted me a large bottle of Dom Pérignon, which I later donated to the Priaulx Foundation for Premature Babies. The raffle raised an amazing £1,000, which was fantastic.

We hold such fond memories of our time at The Swan Inn.To everyone who frequented it over the years – thank you for your friendship, your laughter, and your support.

 26 de Maio de 2006 – Despedida dos Clientes Regulares

Na noite seguinte, organizámos outro buffet e bar aberto para os nossos clientes habituais. Mais uma vez, foi um grande sucesso, cheio de risos, amizade e boas recordações.

A Equipa de Bilhar do Swan ofereceu-me uma grande garrafa de Dom Pérignon, que depois doei à Priaulx Foundation for Premature Babies. O sorteio angariou cerca de £1.000, o que foi fantástico.
